A complete and natural drawing experience
Whether you are a first-time user or a seasoned pro, the Modbook with SketchBook Express will change the way you express your creativity. The natural flow of the software – combined with the Modbook’s 512 levels of pen pressure sensitivity – enhances your creative process and keeps you moving.
Minimal learning curve
No need for classes or "how to" books. Just pick up the digitizer pen and work with ease.
Perfectly paired with the Modbook
SketchBook Express and the Modbook – one look and you know that they were made for each other. From the arced tool palette in the corner, to the flick and select tool options, SketchBook Express works smoothly with the Modbook’s tablet form factor and pen input system.
Gesture-based interface
You won’t be overwhelmed by endless windows and streams of drop-down menus. Instead, you know instantly where everything is. Like the Modbook, SketchBook Express keeps the artist in the creative flow at all times.
Etched ForceGlass screen simulates paper
The Modbook’s ForceGlass screen is acid-etched – designed to replicate the feel of paper when drawing with the digitizer pen for a naturalistic sketching experience in SketchBook Express.
A jumping-off point for sketch artists wanting to go digital
If you’re new to the digital art experience, the Modbook with SketchBook Express is for you.
Open your files into other programs
Sketchbook Express has no proprietary file format. The program opens and saves to industry standard formats, including TIF, BMP, JPG, GIF and PNG, and later you can open your flattened artwork in Adobe® Photoshop® or Corel® Painter™ for the next step in your creative process.
Unique arced tool palette
This is a tool palette you've never seen before: a simple arc gently tucked away in either lower corner – or hidden altogether if you want to clear the canvas and focus on your creations. The arced tool palette gives you one-flick access to major tools.
No mind-numbing image processing
There are no massive processor-crunching filters in Sketchbook Express. No relying on technology to make you "look" creative – rely on your own creativity instead!
Power without baggage
Artists should be creating, not studying user manuals. With Sketchbook Express there's no need for extensive tutorials and how-to guides. If you know how to use a pencil, you already have the skills needed to work with this package.
Layers support
In SketchBook Express, you have the flexibility to work with up to three layers (unlimited layer stacking is available if you upgrade to SketchBook Pro). Each layer has its own transparency slider and can be hidden when needed.
Move, rotate and scale
Perform three functions, all with one tool. Place the tool into position, then click and drag. It's that simple.
Simplified selection tools
Use both direct selection or lasso tools to define areas for editing.
